Lauren Mullinder

Lauren is an artist, a graphic designer, an educator and a children's book illustrator. She is based in Adelaide, South Australia and as well as teaching art, drawing fundamentals and environmental courses, she works from her home studio and her city based office illustrating books and working on educational projects.

Currently, Lauren has illustrated 4 children's books including I Hate Rules, The Great Billy Cart Grand Prix, The Coolest Book in the Whole Wide World and Angus Visits the Little Playground and created graphics for a number of educational publications.

She loves visiting schools and running illustration workshops, where children have a hands on experience creating their own designs and characters. Her free online workshops 'Curious Creatures' is also a validated Learning Destination for the Children's University.

Lauren currently curates and manages the Adelaide Illustrators group, a South Australian based talent pool of local illustrators, artists and creatives and teaches a Middle School Drawing Fundamentals Workshop through CDW Studios. She is an active volunteer and committee member of the SA Chapter of the Children's Book Council (CBCA), and a committee member of the SA Society of Children's Book Writer's and Illustrators (SCBWI), helping to organise and curate professional development and networking opportunities for creatives, students and educators.
