Allayne Webster


Allayne Webster is an internationally published Children's and Young Adult novelist who grew up in rural South Australia. She's the recipient of three South Australian Arts Grants, a Member of the Adelaide Festival of Children's Books, and she helped to establish the Women's Professional Development Network Book Club at the University of Adelaide. She served for ten years on the board of the Salisbury Writers' Festival and she's a SA Premier's Reading Challenge Ambassador.

Some of Allayne’s novels are Children's Book Council Notable books, some have been shortlisted for the Festival Children’s Awards for Literature, and some have appeared on similar lists including the Golden Inkys and The Davitt Awards. Her work has received critical praise from reviewers across Australia, and she's a highly sought after panelist, interview host, workshop presenter and keynote speaker. Allayne is also an artist/illustrator and she plays guitar/sings.
