DAVE ATZE
Dave Atze is a freelance Illustrator from South Australia. He illustrates amazing books for kids that sell all over the world, including Scotty James’ Mooki series, Anh Do’s The Champ, Belly Button Fluff and Numbskull and Nincompoop, He is often found at schools and libraries, teaching kids to draw and talking about his books.

Karen is a descendant of the Yorta Yorta people whose ancestral homeland radiates from the junction of the Goulburn and Murray Rivers in Northeast Victoria. Currently, Karen has illustrated 3 picture books and various short stories including a poem for “The hush treasure book” along with various educational readers for schools.
Vaughan is an illustrator so, naturally, he uses a lot of pictures to explain this process. Based on ‘The Whole Book Approach’ developed by 'The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art' Vaughan encourages kids to read the pictures behind the text to discover what an illustrator does.
Mandy’s obsession with drawing animals and giving them an abundance of personality began when she was around 2, with chalk, on her grandparents' pavement. Only then they didn’t look like animals or anything much for that matter. Now as a best-selling children’sbook illustrator of over 20 books, her canvas has evolved from the pavement and her studio is shared with her joined-at-the-hip border collie, Arty.
Gus Gordon is an internationally acclaimed illustrator and author. He has illustrated and written over 80 books for children. His books which include Wendy, Herman and Rosie (2013 CBCA Honour book), Somewhere Else (2017 Speech Pathology book of the year), The Last Peach and Finding François have sold in over 20 countries worldwide and have received wide international recognition.
Amanda Graham writes and illustrates picture books and short stories for young children. Her first book, Arthur, appeared in 1984 and won the UK Children’s Federation Award and was short-listed for the CBCA Awards. Amanda’s most recent book is Wilbur, Grace and Joe (Little Book Press), written by Phil Cummings.
Sally Heinrich is an illustrator, printmaker and writer, who has published and exhibited widely in Australia and Asia. She has illustrated more than forty books as well as writing and illustrating her own picture books, novels and non-fiction books.
Timothy Ide is an Adelaide based illustrator. He is best known locally for his work as a sketch artist for the TV News, capturing some of South Australia’s most notorious cases over the last thirty years. Timothy has also illustrated a number of children’s books.
Marc McBride is the illustrator of Emily Rodda's best selling Deltora Quest series, which has sold over eighteen million copies around the world and has become an Anime TV show. He has illustrated more than two hundred book covers, ten picture books, countless magazines and has had work exhibited with the New York Society of Illustrators.
ROSS MORGAN
Ross Morgan is fine artist and illustrator from Adelaide, South Australia. In 2018 he won the Raising Literacy Australia’s Emerging Author and Illustrator Mentoring Project. Through this initiative he completed his first illustrated book ‘Molly Moores has a House Like Yours’


After illustrating her first picture book, which came out in early 2017, Lauren discovered her love of interacting and engaging with children through presentations and workshops, and teaching them a love of self-expression through art.
Claire's first book, A Little Bit, was published by Omnibus books in Adelaide.She has since worked with several publishers and seen her books translated into many languages. Her other titles include The Eleventh Sheep and Ten Cheeky Possums.
Paul Rutter is a South Australian children’s book author, illustrator and has completed a Master of Arts degree in Animation. He delivers exciting drawing and animation workshops for students throughout Junior to Upper Primary and Middle School years.
Danny is the illustrator of over a dozen children's picture books. His most recent book Little Chicken Chickabee, written by Janeen Brian, is a CBCA Notable Book for 2017.
Robin Tatlow-Lord is an illustrator and cartoonist with a lively and expressive drawing style and lots of energy! When she’s not drawing, you might find her zooming around the roller derby track. Robin has over a decade of experience running kids’ art workshops. Her first book, Go Away Worry Monster, was a shortlisted CBCA title for New Illustrator.
Datsun Tran is an Australian artist, making work that primarily features the natural world, though it is about us, the human story. Tran has exhibited extensively in Australia, as well as North America, Asia and Europe. He has also had his first picture book ‘Then and Now’ published recently.
Gabrielle Wang is an award winning author and illustrator of novels and picture books for children and young adults. She was born in Melbourne of Chinese heritage. As a result, Gabrielle’s books are a blend of both Australian and Chinese culture with a touch of fantasy. She has conducted workshops in writing and illustrating around Australia and overseas.
